Digi-Key, located in Thief River Falls, MN, is one of the fastest
growing electronic component distributors in the United States.
Digi-Key has had an annual sales growth rate of over 20% per year since
1982 and almost $1 billion in sales projected for 2009. The company
employs 2000 people and in the past year the company received over 4
million phone calls, served 330,000 customers worldwide and processed
over 2 million orders.
Digi-Key’s main business applications are custom developed and
maintained by Digi-Key’s Information Technology department. The
software is interactive on-line and supports order entry and
fulfillment, customer history, accounts receivable, inventory control
and other management and accounting activities. E-commerce is also an
exciting area of development at Digi-Key. In the electronics
