Job Location: GLIFWC’s Office at Odanah, Wisconsin Limited Term Employee 400 hrs Salary $8.50/hr - for three months Duties: An intern is needed to assist with development of custom web applications to serve maps, data, and documents using a variety of Open Source software such as Apache, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, MapServer, Alfresco, and Drupal. These applications will be developed using PHP, MapScript, Java Script, and SQL to request custom queries and reports from a Postgres/PostGIS database and return results in HTML/DHTML format. Other duties will include server and software administration, debugging, tuning, and security administration. Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Apache, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, MapServer, Alfresco, and Drupal. 2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using SQL, PHP, MapScript, HTML, and Java Script; 3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in administering database and webserver security measures; 4. Demonstrated ability to apply existing knowledge in new computing environments and ability to learn new skills independently; 5. Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited academic institution with documented class work in computer science (a copy of college transcripts is required); Native American Preference; All applicants will be considered but a Native American preference will be given if all other qualifications are equal.
