What is a career network?

A career network is a website that’s been created specifically for students and alumni at particular academic departments, student organizations on campus, or for professional organizations. Career networks often contain exclusive job opportunities, announcements and events for the members of that network.

Examples of career networks: Stanford University’s Management Science & Engineering Department, University of Michigan’s School of Nursing, MIT’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Why do I need to establish an employer account?

You need an employer account in order to post jobs on AfterCollege. Your employer account also allows you to update your postings and post them on relevant academic departments & student groups, track responses, and to view detailed applicant reports. Setting up an employer account is easy and takes a few minutes. All you need to do is fill out the online form and create a login. An auto-generated password will be emailed to you. Setting up an employer account is free and you don’t get charged until you post jobs or buy posting credits.

I have an employer account but misplaced my log-in and password.  How do I retrieve them?

If you have misplaced the log-in and password for your employer account, go to the password lookup page and enter your email address as you originally entered it when you signed up. Your login and password will be emailed to that address. If you have trouble doing a password lookup, please call us at 1-877-725-7721 or email .

How do I establish an employer account?

To set up an account, just go to the employer account set-up page, complete the online form, and create a login and password. Once you establish an account, you will be able to post jobs and forward them to individual academic departments and student groups. You will also have an option to purchase a membership package.

My company is interested in an unlimited posting package. How do we sign up?

To purchase an unlimited posting package, just call us at 1-713-869-2488, or email and we will put you in touch with your Account Executive.

I tried to look up my password, but the system does not recognize my email address.  What do I do?

Please make sure you enter your email address as it was originally entered when you established your employer account. If your address is entered differently, the password lookup will not work. Email addresses are not case-sensitive. If you continue to have trouble doing a password lookup, please call us at 1-877-725-7721 or email .

We are a large organization with multiple offices and divisions. Do we have an account?

Please call us at 1-877-725-7721 to find out if your organization already has a pre-existing account with AfterCollege. If your organization does not have an account with AfterCollege, you can establish one for your division by signing up online. We also encourage you to tell your corporate human resources department about AfterCollege.

How much does AfterCollege charge for its services?

AfterCollege charges moderate fees for posting on the AfterCollege site and on individual department and group sites. A single 30-day posting requires one credit which costs $149. If you would like your posting to be listed longer or have multiple jobs to post, you can save up to 34% by purchasing posting credits in your Employer Account for use at anytime within one year of purchase. How do I post jobs on AfterCollege?

To start posting jobs, just set up an employer account on AfterCollege and click on the “Post Job” button after you establish an account. If you already have an account, log in through our main employer page, or go to the “Post Jobs” page and log in. You can target your postings to relevant academic departments & student groups when posting. Each screen will guide you on what to do. If you need assistance, simply call 1-877-725-7721.

How do I post my job to job seekers at career networks in the AfterCollege network?

Posting your job to the AfterCollege network is easy. After you fill in the job description and complete the billing, you will be taken to a confirmation page. Simply click on the link that says “Target your job for free”. You will have the ability to select the states and target majors that are relevant for your job opportunity. The next screen will show you the relevant inventory in the AfterCollege network based on your criteria. You may choose any number of the career networks. Your posting will automatically appear on the career networks of your choice.

Am I able to add additional career networks later on?

Absolutely. Simply log in to your AfterCollege employer account and click on “View & Update Jobs” under the Account Management tools. Click on the icon under the column that says “Forward”. You will have the ability to select the states and target majors that are relevant for your job opportunity. The next screen will show you the relevant inventory in the AfterCollege network based on your criteria. You may choose any number of the career networks. Your posting will automatically appear on the career networks of your choice.

Can I also post internships on AfterCollege?

Yes, you can post internships on AfterCollege the same way as you would post a regular job posting. When posting your internship, select “Internship/Co-op” as the job type.

Can I deactivate jobs that I posted on AfterCollege?

You can deactivate your postings at any time. You can do so by logging on to your account and clicking on ”View & Update Jobs” under the Account Management section. To deactivate a posting, click on the icon under the “Deactivate” column next to the posting. Please note that if you pay on a pay-per-posting basis, you will still be charged for postings that you deactivate before they are set to expire.

How long do my jobs remain posted on AfterCollege?

When you post a job, you can specify whether you want to post it for one month or more. This will set an expiration date for the job. On the expiration date, AfterCollege will automatically deactivate your posting. A week before your posting expires, you will receive a reminder from us letting you know that your job will expire.

How do I renew my postings on AfterCollege?

You can renew your postings on AfterCollege at any time. To renew your postings, log on to your employer account and click on ”View & Update Jobs” under the Account Management section. Under the column that says “Expiration” choose the new expiration date. If you do not have enough posting credits, you will be prompted to pay for the additional credits required for the renewal.

Are jobs automatically deactivated for me?

Yes, when you post a job, you can specify how long the job will be posted. This determines the expiration date. A week before your posting expires, you will receive a reminder from us letting you know that your job will expire. You can either renew the posting or let the job deactivate on the expiration date.

Can I update my jobs after I post them on AfterCollege, and if so, how?

You can update your jobs as often as you wish by logging on to your employer account and clicking on ”View & Update Jobs” under the Account Management section. You can also target your jobs to additional student groups and academic departments at any time.

Why am I getting an error when charging my credit card?

Before submitting your credit card information, make sure all the required fields are filled out. Most of the time the error lies in an incorrect zip code or wrong card holder name, so be sure to verify that what is in the submission page matches up exactly to the card you are using. If you continue to receive an error, call us at 1-877-725-7721.

Why did my posting expire on the same day I posted it?

If a posting is not fully paid for on the day it is posted, it will automatically deactivate itself within 24 hours from when the posting attempt was made. Be sure to complete the credit card transaction or choose the invoice option (you should receive a confirmation email that your job has been posted and paid for), and your job will stay live for as long as it’s been designated.
