"AfterCollege's Career Network is a nice addition to the department website. We try to offer as many services as possible on line. I don't have the time to alert students to all the job listings that come to the office so it's nice to be able to refer employers to the website to either retrieve student resumes or post a job themselves.
The Career Network is great for IR and IPS students because it gives students the opportunity to look at the jobs most relevant to them rather than sorting through a lot of jobs they are not qualified to take or are not in line with their interests. Many students have also taken advantage of the resume book service. I remind students to utilize as many job resources as possible, and our Career Network is a great one.
I would recommend AfterCollege's Career Network because it is useful for our students and simple to add to our website. It doesn't take much effort or technical know-how to maintain either. Recent alumni enjoy the alumni registration functionality and it takes the burden of connecting students off the office staff. We've also found alumni can provide some of the best leads on jobs for our students."
