Roberto Angulo

Founder
CEO

A native of Sonora, Mexico, Roberto founded what is now AfterCollege™ as a Junior at Stanford University, where he obtained his B.S. degree in Economics. Roberto has extensive web strategy and deployment experience. His previous projects include Intuit’s Quicken Beta web site, which was the first software beta testing service of its kind. He was also involved in rolling out the first interactive college course web site in the United States for a class at Stanford. Previously, he worked at BBN/GTE Internetworking as a Project Manager, heading Internet hosting architecture design projects. Roberto is the co-author of two patents relating to AfterCollege’s proprietary online recruiting technology. Roberto is fluent in Spanish, English and French, and enjoys traveling, running and developing new product ideas for AfterCollege.

Ana Bertran

Co-Founder

Ana is currently a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering and works in the Radar Interferometry Group in STARLab at Stanford University. Ana obtained her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, as well as Masters degrees in Management Science & Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

Ana is a native of Barcelona, Spain, and has lived in Belgium and Mexico.

Daniel J. Jansen

Boston Consulting Group

Partner & Managing Director, The Boston Consulting Group
Dan is a Partner and Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group. His areas of expertise include media and entertainment, consumer marketing and post-merger integration. Dan joined BCG in 1991 and is a partner in the Los Angeles office. He’s also worked in BCG’s Boston and Sydney offices. He leads the firm’s Media and Entertainment practice and has worked extensively in film, TV, and music. He speaks and writes regularly on issues affecting the entertainment industries and has been quoted in leading national and international publications.

Dan received his B.A. in economics with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles and his M.B.A. in marketing and finance from the Wharton School.

Ira Dorf


Ira Dorf has more than 30 years of experience in all phases and facets of Human Resource Management, including executive staffing, compensation and benefits, management development, succession planning, employee relations, executive coaching and counseling, and organizational structuring and development. In addition, he has functioned as member of senior executive teams for more than 15 years.

His experience spans a broad range of industries as well, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, financial services, consumer and industrial products, and most recently, the Internet. He has dealt with business issues all over the world.

He spent his early years with ITT Corporation, directing each of the major functions of Human Resources Management in turn, and then moving into the role of Director of Human Resources for ITT Telecommunications Corporation, a worldwide company with revenues of over $6 billion and over 100,000 employees. He moved to the West Coast as Director of Administration and Strategic Planning for ITT’s Business Systems Group. In this role, he defined the Group’s organizational structure, staffed its top level, and assisted in managing the Group. He continued this role after the sale of the business to Alcatel of France.

Later in his career, Ira was VP of Human Resources for Informix Software, where he dealt with the problems associated with very rapid growth as well as slowdown. In this role, he served as a key advisor to the CEO.

Mario Rosati

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Mario Rosati has been with the Palo Alto, California law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati since 1971. Mr. Rosati received his law degree from Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley, and his undergraduate degree from UCLA. Specializing in corporate law for high technology companies, he serves as a director of several publicly traded companies. In 1981, he participated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Task Force to the office of the President Elect, Ronald Reagan. Mr. Rosati is an adjunct Professor at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and is on the UC Berkeley Foundation Board of Trustees.
