Requires a working knowledge of cGMP, EU and OSHA Part 11 guidelines as they pertain to fulfilling the Project Manager- CMMS & Planner/Scheduler functions.
Education: College degree, prefer a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Work Experience: Prefer 5 years of related CMMS experience, 5 years of Planner/Scheduler experience and 5 years of Maintenance experience. Prefer 3 years in a life sciences/pharma organization.
Language Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication/language skills in English.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel. Experience in Maximo or Datastream/INFOR CMMS is preferred but not necessary. A working knowledge of 3rd party report writing tools is also a plus.
Math Skills: Must be proficient in math skills equivalent to the 12th grade level.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The BIVI CMMS Administrator / Planner-Scheduler shall posses the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations.
Physical Demands: A. The employee is regularly required to use their vision as well as hands and fingers to look at machinery, handle parts and to accomplish data entry tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The BIVI CMMS Administrator / Planner-Scheduler must therefore have good eyesight or use glasses or contact lenses to correct vision to acceptable levels.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To assume the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) team leadership position and to serve as the primary point of contact for all BIVI (St. Joseph & Elwood) system questions, issues, training and upgrades.
2. To manage the CMMS implementation by interfacing between the selected software vendor and software implementer and all pertinent BIVI system users. This would include but not be limited to the following key initiatives: data scrubbing, customization, validation, implementation, training and overall CMMS project management.
3. Assume role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the CMMS within the Plant Services Group by coordinating future training, working with the CMMS vendor to resolve any software issues, developing KPI's and custom reports in the CMMS for various departments and personnel, and working with IT to resolve any server related issues that may affect the performance of the CMMS.
4. To facilitate the lead role in developing, measuring and reporting CMMS usage issues and deviation data to ensure the system becomes an integral and regular part of the BIVI Facility Maintenance & Engineering processes and culture. To work closely with the Facility Maintenance & Engineering Supervisors to ensure that all necessary maintenance activities are being captured within the organizations Computerized Maintenance Management System.
5. To assume the responsibility for accurately identifying the necessary time, tools and parts required to properly perform the department's maintenance tasks. Responsible for coordinating and communicating with the appropriate Manufacturing Manager, the weekly and monthly Maintenance schedules for the assigned dependent or independent requirements. This will also include assuming the responsibility for receiving and processing any/all general maintenance-related work requests at the Genefield campus.
6. To assume the project management role in successfully driving the Preventive Maintenance Optimization initiative.
7. To perform a key role in assisting with coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities during a building shutdown.
8. To effectively train all users on the mobile hand-held devices which will interface with the facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System.
9. Work to optimize all Maintenance and Calibration activities in an effort to reduce equipment downtime and thereby increase equipment uptime.
10. To work with the Central Storeroom in coordinating future Kitting & Bundling activities.
